hospital drive was engulfed in flames when fire crews got there late last night.three different fire departments fought it.. but no one was hurt.the fire is not being called suspicious. 3 also new this morning ... someone held up the u-d-f on dixie highway in florence overnight ...police say two men went into the store just before three, and robbed the clerk at gunpoint.we don't know what they got away with, and boone county sheriff's deputies are trying to track them down. 3 there are also new developments this morning in the oregon ranching standoff. when you went to bed, you may have heard the f-b-i had surrounded the last four occupiers of the wildlife refuge.now, sean anderson says he and the three others will turn themselves in this morning.anderson told the feds he and the remaining activists will leave their weapons in their vehicles, and walk one by one to a police checkpoint while carrying an american flag. the oregonian newspsper reports one of men surrounding is david fry from cincinnati. 3 time/temp ...ahead at four-30

a manhunt is underway for the person who murdered a young mother from middletown ... in front of her six-month old daughter. brittany russell was found slumped over the wheel of her car in dayton ... the baby's father spent nearly 24 hours searching for little haven and her mother.as local12's angela ingram explains, he got his daughter back, but now wants to know why someone targeted brittany. 3 haven edwards is all smiles... completely unaware and unable to understand what's happened to her mother.dayton police found brittany russell shot and killed in her running car... while the six-month-old baby was in the vehicle.29:17 just mourning what i've heard and praising god that my kid's home :22 safe, unharmed :24 and it's just a messed up situation to wake up to 29:31 chris edwards has custody of haven.yesterday, russell convinced a babysitter to let her to take the baby.she said she would bring haven back -

3 after two months of waiting, a local mother gets a call from police ...they told her they think they got the guy who killed her daughter, and now the mom is speaking out.u-s marshals arrested michael prewitt in orlando, florida this week.in decemeber, police say prewitt showed up at kesha jendrysik's home in east price hill, shot her new boyfriend, shot at her mother, polly, then shot and killed kesha. polly has plans for prewitt's day in court. 3 "i'm going to look him dead in his face, i want him to see me and remember you took a precious woman away."even though their mother was murdered in the home .. kesha's daughters insist on living there.they told polly they could still feel their mom's presence.detectives flew to florida yesterday to bring prewitt back.the case does have elements of a potential death penalty case.we'll keep you posted. 3 the murder case against a former u-c police officer is moving forward today ...a

set for ray tensing.tensing shot and killed samuel dubose during an off-campus traffic stop last july.he's charged with murder and voluntary manslaughter.the university fired him after the shooting, and reached a multi-million dollar settlement with the dubose family earlier this year. 3 friends and family of longtime reds clubhouse manager bernie stowe will say goodbye to him this weekend. stowe passed away tuesday at the age of 80.. and spent nearly 70 years with the reds.his visitation is sunday from three to seven at elder high school. his funeral will be monday morning at nine-30 at holy family church on west 8th in east price hill. 3 a bill to strip planned parenthood of its government funding is expected to pass with the stroke of a pen today ...all it needs is ohio governor john kasich's signature.and he plans on doing just that.the g-o-p-led house passed a measure that cuts off the one-point-three million dollars the state gives the organization. that money does *not* support abortions, but pays for things like h-i-v testing and cancer screenings. and, that's what concerns planned parenthood. 3

the cincinnati streetcar project hits another milestone ...60-percent of the fleet of streetcars will be in town this afternoon.the city's third streetcar left new york earlier this week, and is expected to arrive in over- the-rhine around three this afternoon. as with the last two, it will force race street from findlay and mcmicken and henry street from elm to race to close for a couple hours. by the way, we're now seven months away from being able to ride the streetcar. 3 the children's theatre of cincinnati is putting on a special performance for underpriveleged kids.it's hosting a preview of snow white and the dancing dwarves for the families of most valuable kids of greater cincinnati.the show opens to the public tomorrow, and runs this weekend and next weekend. we have ticket information at local12-dot-com.just hover over news, and click get it now links. 3 time/temp ...rewarding the right thing to do ...the homeless man who led police to two escaped inmates could have some money coming his way ... plus ...passengers on lockdown ..people on board a cruise

3 valentine's day is a huge time of year for the jewelry industry..diamonds are the third most popular valentines gift -- and they're a big investment. horace holmes from our sister station in washington d-c found some surprising facts when he went undercover to examine diamonds. 3 track when jennifer mcmullen's then boyfriend surprised her with this diamond engagement ring..she was ecstatic. sot< clip 0352/1:34:21 >beautiful ring! yeah he did a good job..track but a year and a half after her now husband bought the ring from local retailer mervis jewelers, the couple was floored when they went to insure it and found out there might be a big problem.sot jennifer mcmullen my ring was certified by egl international and they

because egl international of israel, one of a handful of companies that grades the authenticity and value of a gem had gone out of business amid accusations it routinely over valued diamonds. natsot cleaning machine/ or diamonds being poured outtrack with diamonds it all comes down to the four c's..color, clarity, cut, and carat or the weight of the stone. that's what determines it's worthsotyou can't look at a diamond and tell. track mcmullen says mervis took the diamond and had it evaluated by another gem lab...she says she went on the lab's website to find the report on her ring...soti saw it was significantly much less than what we paid for.can you tell me the ballpark. it was over ten thousand dollars difference. trackmcmullen has sued mervis jewelers. a mervis spokesperson told us "there's no merit to the suit.. we will vigorously defend ourselves and will prevail." he went on to say "mervis has offered to take back the ring and refund in full the money mcmullen's husband paid."mervis insists

people who are being called "heart heroes."they are transplant recipients.our rich jaffe has a very special connection with one of them. it's a story you'll see only on local12 news. 3 asia werner beams down from the billboards, with all the exuberance of 16 year old youth.she is a heart hero. one of my hero's too.i'm normal and most people don't even know anything about anything that has to do with my heart until i tell them and they're like whoa what? are you serious? it's hard to tell... when asia was born she was immediately in need of a heart transplant....about a year later....when i met her...fortunately she got it...and she has never looked back.i have not seen anything that she's not willing to try and if she tries it she does her absolute best at it....(07 butt t.c.232817) she does indoor soccer...we're about to sign her up for outdoor soccer....she has to rotate of the field a little more frequently because she gets to

to breathe but (butt out the pause)....she just does her breathing exercises and she's right back out there....asia is in the marching band at lakota west....a straight a student...an athlete, and now for all to see....a towering symbol of survival. she is every bit, a normal, lovely teenage girl and an inspiration for other kids facing such adversity. i asked if she feels like a "hero..." she somewhat hesitantly answered....sure...i guess because i inspire people, i don't know...i'm fifteen years out and i know perfectly well that's uncommon and fantastic so that's probably inspiring but ...some people say that....i guess it's true....i don't know.....another sign of normalcy...there's a boyfriend....we're thinking we might like each other....but we're not sure...we've always been friends and it's kind of weird...but...we have a date
